Price History
Description
Solving the 4-Burner Collision: Zig-Zag Geometry
The fatal flaw of a standard 4-burner stove is that the burners are arranged in a tight square. If you place a wide pan on the front burner, it completely blocks access to the rear burner, making it a 3-burner stove in reality. Preethi completely resolves this spatial bottleneck with their brilliant Zig-Zag Burner Layout. By offsetting the burners diagonally across an expansive frame, the GTS 118 ensures that the long handle of your frying pan will never collide with the pressure cooker sitting right next to it, unlocking genuine, unhindered 4-pot multi-tasking.
Tri-Pad High Efficiency & Jumbo Firepower
This stove is calibrated specifically for the heavy thermal demands of Indian joint families. It features 1 Jumbo, 2 Big, and 1 Small (Baby) burner. The Jumbo burner is purpose-built for massive commercial-style tawas, while the dedicated Baby burner is perfect for low-flame tadka without burning the sides of tiny pans. Powered by a patented Tri-Pad mixing chamber, the burners achieve a remarkable 69%+ thermal efficiency, converting LPG into a highly concentrated blue flame that boils water significantly faster while reducing your monthly gas cylinder costs.
8mm Glass Armor and Pure Stainless Steel Chassis
Where most brands cut corners using 6mm glass and painted iron bodies, Preethi over-engineers the GTS 118. It utilizes ultra-thick 8mm Toughened Glass, heavily fortifying the stove against the immense physical weight of four fully loaded vessels. Just as importantly, the glass is seated on a Pure Stainless Steel Base. Unlike powder-coated mild steel—which can eventually scratch and succumb to aggressive coastal humidity—the unpainted stainless steel chassis provides lifelong, indestructible rust protection.
Ergonomics: Extendable Legs & Removable Trays
Cleaning under a massive 4-burner stove is usually a nightmare, requiring you to dangerously lift the heavy gas unit. Preethi solves this by equipping the stove with Extendable Skid-Proof Legs, allowing you to raise the chassis high enough to effortlessly swipe a damp cleaning cloth underneath it. Furthermore, it abandons the cheap fixed spill trays found on budget models in favor of Removable Stainless Steel Drip Trays. If starchy rice water boils over, you simply lift the tray out and wash it directly in your sink.
Target Demographics: Is the Preethi Jumbo Max Right For You?
Commanding a premium price point (typically ₹8,400 to ₹9,800), the Preethi Blu-Flame GTS 118 is a serious, long-term investment. It is designed explicitly for large joint families who regularly prepare complex, multi-course meals and demand the physical space to use all four burners simultaneously. If you prioritize heavy-duty structural safety, unparalleled pot spacing, and rust-proof materials over fragile auto-ignition electronics, this is one of the most reliable workhorses on the Indian market.
⚠️ Dealbreaker Alert: Countertop Width & PNG Gas
Because of the staggered Zig-Zag layout, this stove is significantly wider and deeper than a standard 4-burner unit. You must physically measure your kitchen slab to ensure you have adequate space. Additionally, this unit arrives factory-configured for LPG cylinders. If your apartment uses Piped Natural Gas (PNG), you must hire a local technician to replace the internal burner nozzles, otherwise the flame will be dangerously inefficient.
User Intent FAQ & Troubleshooting
What is the purpose of the “Baby Burner”?
The Baby Burner is an ultra-small brass ring designed specifically for low-flame, delicate tasks. When you use a tiny tadka pan or a small milk boiler on a large burner, the flames escape up the sides and burn the handle. The Baby Burner concentrates a small ring of heat strictly on the bottom of tiny vessels.
How do the Night Glow Knobs work?
The control knobs are coated with a special luminescent material (and Molkote grease for smooth turning). They absorb ambient light during the day and emit a soft glow in the dark, allowing you to instantly visually verify that all gas valves are safely turned off before you go to bed.
Can I remove the stainless steel drip trays entirely?
Yes. Unlike cheap budget stoves where the spill trays are integrated into the chassis, the Preethi GTS 118 features fully removable trays. You can lift them completely off the stove and wash them thoroughly with dish soap in your kitchen sink.

Test Kitchen Recommended Pairings
To safely install this heavy-duty workhorse and properly extract the massive heat output of four active burners, we strongly mandate acquiring these essentials:
Steel Braided LPG Safety Hose (ISI)
Powering four large burners simultaneously requires maximum, consistent gas pressure. Replacing your old rubber pipe with a rat-proof, steel-braided ISI safety hose ensures leak-free fuel delivery and protects against devastating fires.
✔ Mandatory Safety Upgrade
90cm Kitchen Exhaust Chimney
Due to the expansive zig-zag layout of this 4-burner stove, a standard 60cm chimney will fail to capture smoke from the outer Jumbo and Baby burners. To keep your kitchen grease-free, pairing this stove with a wide 90cm chimney is essential.
✔ Essential Spatial Component
📊 Expert Editorial Summary: Is the Preethi Jumbo Max Worth It?
After extensive testing, the Preethi Blu-Flame GTS 118 establishes itself as the ultimate structural workhorse for large Indian families. Preethi intelligently bypassed fragile auto-ignition electronics and instead invested heavily into raw physical ergonomics. The Zig-Zag burner layout is a genuine game-changer, definitively solving the pot-collision issue that plagues almost every other 4-burner stove on the market. Encased in ultra-thick 8mm toughened glass mounted on a rust-proof pure stainless steel base, it is built to survive decades of heavy abuse. If you have the countertop space to accommodate its expansive size, this is arguably the smartest, safest, and most practical premium gas stove available today.
- ✦ Collision-Free Cooking: Staggered zig-zag layout ensures maximum handle clearance for massive pots and tawas.
- ✦ Indestructible Base: Pure stainless steel chassis guarantees zero rust, even in highly humid coastal environments.
- ✦ Shatterproof Architecture: 8mm thick glass securely handles the immense downward weight of four simultaneous heavy vessels.
- ✦ Cleaning Ergonomics: Extendable legs and removable stainless steel spill trays make daily maintenance incredibly fast and easy.
Test Kitchen Showdown: Preethi Jumbo Max vs. Prestige & Pigeon
The dirty secret of the 4-burner gas stove industry is that most of them are functionally 3-burner stoves. Because standard models arrange the burners in a tight square, placing a large frying pan on the front burner physically blocks you from putting a pot on the rear burner. To see if the Preethi GTS 118 Jumbo Max genuinely solves this spatial nightmare with its Zig-Zag layout, we ran it head-to-head against the industry standard—the Prestige Marvel 4 Burner—and the ultra-budget category leader, the Pigeon Aster 4 Burner.
During our intensive evaluations in our Kerala appliance test kitchen, we focused on true multi-tasking capacity and coastal rust resistance. We loaded all three cooktops simultaneously with our heaviest combination: a 5-litre pressure cooker, a wide cast-iron dosa tawa, a biriyani pot, and a smaller milk boiler. We strictly monitored handle collisions and measured chassis flex under the immense downward weight to see if Preethi’s 8mm glass and stainless steel base truly justified its premium price tag.

Reality Check 1: The Square Layout Illusion
When you buy a standard square 4-burner like the Prestige or Pigeon, the geometry actively fights against you. The moment you place a 30cm wide pan on a front burner, it eclipses the back burner. The Preethi GTS 118 intentionally offsets its burners diagonally in a zig-zag pattern. This creates distinct operational zones. During our stress tests, we comfortably placed our largest cast-iron cookware on the front Jumbo burner and a pressure cooker directly behind it, completely eliminating handle tangles and restoring true 4-pot capability.
Reality Check 2: The Kerala Rust Test
Standard glass stoves utilize powder-coated steel bodies to save money. While the Prestige has high-quality coating, aggressive scrubbing and accidental knocks from heavy pans will eventually chip the paint, exposing the steel to highly humid coastal air, which rapidly leads to rust. Preethi over-engineers the GTS 118 by mounting the glass on a Pure Stainless Steel Base. Even if you scratch it with a sharp knife, there is no paint to chip and no raw iron to rust. It is virtually immortal against coastal humidity.
Reality Check 3: 8mm Glass vs. Combined Load
The biggest danger of a 4-burner stove is the massive combined weight and thermal stress generated when all four burners are active. Standard 6mm glass—found on both the Prestige and Pigeon—can occasionally bow or suffer stress fractures under extreme loads. By upgrading to 8mm Toughened Glass, the Preethi GTS 118 provides a 33% thicker structural foundation. It absorbs the downward pressure of joint-family cooking without flinching, drastically reducing the risk of spontaneous glass shattering.
🎯 The Definitive Buying Verdict
- Buy the Preethi GTS 118 (Zig-Zag) if: You have a large kitchen slab and frequently cook massive meals. The zig-zag burner layout, indestructible stainless steel base, and thick 8mm glass make it an exceptionally intelligent, lifetime investment that completely justifies its premium price point.
- Buy the Prestige Marvel 4 Burner if: You want a highly reliable legacy brand but have limited counter space, accepting that the square layout will functionally limit you to using only 3 large pots at a time.
- Buy the Pigeon Aster 4 Burner if: You need the aesthetics of a 4-burner stove on a strictly limited budget and will rarely subject the 6mm glass to heavy, simultaneous boiling tasks.

Pro
1. Its good looking.
2. Strong glass and really heavy brass burners. No jokes, you can feel the weight when you pick it up.
3. Build quality is great except maybe little issues with finishing touches.
4. Good distance between 4 burners, this is probably the only design that is fully usable for anyone wishing to use all 4 burners at the same time.
5. Burner sizes are very well adapt at 3-5 person family.
6. Buttons glow in dark so this is also helpful.
7. Treys are easy to clean.
8. Nozzle placement is really good.
Cons.
1. I think ant jet or whatever is just gimmick, I see ants hanging around on this everywhere. Its just question of whether they want to hang on it or not.
2. No pipe provides, local install guy charges 3-4 times higher after seeing what you have bought, they assume you have lot of money to burn. I was charged 600 + installation (250) for 3 mtr pipe by godiya gas person. You should be only paying around 300-400 Rs for that in total.
3. That 30% efficiency is also gimmick, I’m getting at least 5-10 days less on this than what I used to on my 15 years old steel 2 burner stove.
4. Be careful of putting back burner stands after cleaning, they are of different sizes (As per burner size, sometimes you can accidently put on different burner than its designated one)
5. Really awful burning smell of paint on burner stand for first 5-6 days.
6. Not sure if I received all the attachments it was supposed to give but please check that carefully.
7. Foot extenders are almost never used, they are also very weak, they make it more difficult that just one person picking up the stove and other cleaning kitchen top under it.
8. In my piece there is slight difference in feet height. So its always slightly tilted, but I guess this wont bother you unless you have OCD like me. haha

After lot of reviews & search I selected this stove though it’s bit expensive. It came safe and it’s looking so sturdy & premium. You can easily cook on 4 Burners at a time. There is plenty of place. One big burner, 2 medium Burners, one small burner is another good thing. The main reason I bought it is u can remove the steel plates and clean and keep on stove which is great feature and it’s first time in glass stoves. Overall it’s good for now. Will update after a month of usage.
Editing after 3 months of usage :
I am very happy with my selection. Thanks a lot for removable plates option. Also I observed it saves gas. Extra 8 days added for the cylinder.😊😊 Go for it

Had some concerns when purchasing it, but considering the quality and service which they provided for the past products I bought it this time also and to my surprise it stood up quite well in terms of quality and usage, gas burners were a bit low and took a lot of time to cook at first 2 weeks but after that they are working pretty well and the little baby burner is very useful for small vessels, even.
The pan support are designed according to the burners which is a good thought and you won’t be needing any extra pan support on top of the baby burner and the cleaning of the stove is a very good thing on this you can remove the spill pan clean it and again insert it.
The glass quality is much higher than almost most other brands it’s thicker and sturdier and the best part is you get parts for the product lifelong, I am not saying it because I love it but we have had and still do a lot of preethi products in our home and even in our family homes and they are performing pretty well since 8-10 years and we are still getting parts for the same products still when we visit the service center, you can go blindly for the product, It’s a good one.
The extendable legs, yes you do get them at the front only and not on all the four sides, only on the front two side as it is meant to be extended only in one direction and clean it at the bottom so that it won’t feel heavy while trying to lift.
Coming to the gas knobs they are so good to use, they fit perfectly in our fingers when using and it is a delight to use it every time, overall I would say a very good purchase and you won’t regret purchasing it.
One last thing please do check the platform size and gas pipe location as this stove has pipe inlet connection at the right side which did make sense after using it for a while considering it’s size.
Happy shopping everyone!!

Compared to regular 4 burner, jumbo max gives you extra space for 2 people to cook at same time and 3 utensils can be used with minimum to zero disturbance. The old style knobs give you comfort cooking in large utensils, compared to the stylish knobs placed on top of the stove.
One negative point we can see is the LPG connection is on front right side corner of the stove. The pipe is visible throughout.
